The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) is based in Baghdad and has four branches in Basrah, Mosul, Sulaimaniyah and Erbil. The new headquarters on the banks of the River Tigris in Baghdad were designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, taking as its motif the core values of the institution: Solidity, Stability and Sustainability. Once again, the world-renowned architect presents us with an iconic building with a multitude of different elements in its design.
Effisus solutions were used in the project development to protect the building’s façade from environmental factors. Effisus Vapour FR System was used to prevent condensation risk, improving the building’s airtightness and consequently its energy efficiency. Effisus Breather FR Sytem was used to protect the façade components against moisture, driving rain and wind, thus avoiding corrosion, insulation deterioration and mould growth.
