It is true that green buildings have superior energy efficiency and reduced emissions, but the improvement they bring towards their occupants’ welfare, and indirectly the business’ results are often forgotten.

After a building has been constructed, the vast majority of a company’s costs are directed towards the people that work inside it, and not towards energy usage or maintenance. By investing in green buildings, we should take into account the benefits these bring towards the users’ health and performance, turning it into one of the company’s competitive assets.

Hopefully, with the arising importance of workers well-being and performance indexes, the green building movement will be fast-tracked.
