Notable projects include Apple’s headquarters in California, Museum of the Future and Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai, Guggenheim Museum in Abu Dhabi, Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and Axis Hotel in Madrid, 30 Hudson Yards in New York, The Peninsula Hotel and Battersea Power Station in London, Eden New Bailey in Manchester, Riyadh Metro Station in Riyadh and Central Bank of Iraq in Baghdad, among others.
Effisus’ solutions are renowned for their ability to enhance energy efficiency and provide water, wind, and fire protection for facades and roofs. These solutions fit into various applications, from cladding high-rise facades to preventing leaks in gutters or skylights, protecting window frames, and sealing joints and penetrations.
This investment by Viriato Capital marks a significant milestone in Effisus’ growth strategy. With consistent double-digit growth over the last five years, with operations across Portugal, London, and Dubai Effisus exports its products to key international markets, including United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, France and Spain.

Viriato Capital’s investment in Effisus represents another step towards the company’s ambitious goal for 2030, which aims to establish a global presence with offices in the five continents, and expand its operations to the top 20 world economies. This investment will result in team growth, exploration of new markets, and consolidation of existing ones.

Miguel Costa Freire and Pablo Alvarez Guerra, founders of Viriato Capital, will assume leadership roles within Effisus, bringing their extensive management, strategic consulting, and financial expertise from their previous experience at global firms such as McKinsey & Co., J.P. Morgan, Bain & Co., and Nestlé.
