The Opera Project is one of the largest urban regeneration developments ever undertaken in Ireland. Located in the heart of Limerick’s city centre, the project covers a 3.7-acre site and represents a major step forward in revitalizing the city’s economic and cultural landscape. This mixed-use development integrates offices, retail spaces, residential units, cultural venues, and public areas, creating a vibrant environment for work, living, and leisure. 

Designed to blend contemporary architecture with Limerick’s historic urban fabric, the project aims to enhance the city’s appeal as a dynamic destination for business and innovation. The development targets nearly zero-energy building (nZEB) standards and incorporates advanced technologies to reduce carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, and promote long-term environmental responsibility. 

Sustainability will be at the heart of One Opera Square. The development is a lighthouse demonstrator project in sustainability and urban regeneration. One Opera Square will achieve prestigious accreditations including LEED Platinum, WELL Platinum and WiredScore Platnium. This commitment to sustainability is further shown by the project’s compliance with EU Taxonomy, another sustainability classification. This will be the first building outside Dublin to achieve this level of sustainability and accreditation. 

The Opera Project will serve as a catalyst for urban renewal, preserving heritage while embracing innovation, and will position Limerick as one of Ireland’s leading cities for sustainable growth and investment.

Effisus ProFlex FR was applied at façade interfaces, fully tailored to each specific area to meet all project requirements and with pre-installed adhesive bands to assure maximum productivity.
