URBO Business Centre

Located in Matosinhos, the Urbo Business Center is a contemporary office development with a total construction area of 25,616 m², distributed across eight floors, including two underground levels dedicated to parking, offering capacity for approximately 200 vehicles. Officially inaugurated in 2019, the building reflects a commitment to modern corporate architecture, combining clean, geometric lines with generous glazed areas that promote natural light, productivity and a sense of openness within the workplace. Designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality office environments, the Urbo Business Center integrates advanced technological infrastructures and a strong focus on energy efficiency, sustainability and long-term performance. Its façade design, characterised by extensive glazing and modular cladding elements, required reliable sealing solutions to ensure durability, comfort and environmental control, particularly given the building’s exposure to coastal conditions typical of northern Portugal.

To support these performance goals, the project incorporated the Effisus Ecofacade P-Fix system as the preferred solution for waterproofing the facade’s interface connections. This system provided robust protection at junctions between facade components, ensuring airtight and watertight continuity, accommodating structural movement and contributing to the overall energy efficiency of the building envelope. By delivering consistent performance and seamless integration with the architectural design, Effisus Ecofacade P-Fix helped secure the facade’s long-term durability while supporting the building’s modern, sustainable and technological character.
